is the site itself glitching, or was King's Path temporarily taken down for some reason?
Nope this was my bad - I tried to upload an update (which is now up), decided to go to bed instead but somehow the game got deleted (pretty sure I didn't actually click save so I might report this to itch).
This new update requires a LOT of micro-managements with items :(
I don't like it at all, please return back to idle-like gameplay

I think save on endless mode is bugged, it doesn't save for me.

I know I am OP here, but does the enemy scaling just totally break or drop off in later rounds? Nothing even manages to pass by my first unit. This has broken my previous best by a significant margin and I am pretty sure I will easily clear the 300s
im not endless mode gamer, I gotta check if there is some cap that's for sure....other than that, thanks for playing this long I guess :P
Haha, I have gotten, pretty far. I think a lot of dedicated people will play endless. At some point you will likely need exponential scaling.
May I ask if you were perhaps playing on a returning save? I saw that the game basically had a bug where a continued save would not register that you were in endless mode and that potentially turned off exponential health.

I have all the archers available. Then a ton of other units that I got items to reduce the total needed for the bonus. Early on I just was really strong and now it looks like the scaling broke after continuing in endless mode. Unless it is patched I will likely never lose this run.
I meant that I don't have an archer synergy available in my options. I have three stars on all the maps, so there shouldn't be anything left for me to unlock.
(What bonus does the archer synergy give you? Bigger range?)
The archer synergy was in the game but its not anymore - there's not enough unlock slots right now for all the unlocks supposed to be in the game and this is an OG player that had unlocked it while it was still in.
Archer synergy gives a chance to fire multiple projectiles.
What does luck do, exactly?

Luck will improve chances on anything chance related (crit chance, fear chance, stun, etc.)
By the way if you are still experiencing performance issues/crashes, make sure you have particles disabled in the settings.

Do you have any plans to make a sandbox mode?
You mean with infinite HP?
Or with infinite money or something. Just seems like it might be fun to have enough time to play around with all the different combos see which ones are the most broken.
How do I change the level bosses? I've looked at past comments and various patches to try and figure it out but I can't seem to find anything
It should be available by clicking the icon on the bottom left of the level select. Please note it is only unlocked by beating the Orc Boss.
I've 3-starred every level and still can't find it, am I missing something?
Dropping update sometime today or tomorrow, I'll go through the entire flow again and see if I notice that the unlock fails...thanks for reporting this!
It looks like the hero customization button (same siez and background) but has a map on it

And then some. (The game was getting super laggy near the end due to all the projectiles etc)

Hard to say, I feel like the new update made things more difficult than ever, I just got REALLY lucky. Like after the last update I was slightly demoralized momentarily because it took me so long to get three stars on the campaign mode, to the point I still haven't got three stars in a couple of maps.
This is the last screenshot I took from the game, a few waves before it ended.
All in on range and the slowing effects of ice, range was big enough so that the sniper classes covered the entire field with ease, and like 95% of the map was covered in Ice, and I had a ton of extra perks to increase the slowing effect.
(Worth noting is also that I had tons of 200% damage increases on physical attacks, and so many extra projectiles, extra targets and pierce bonuses, that the game was slowed to a crawl. I was at like 5 fps at the end, and worried that the browser would crash before the game ends.)
And this was my loadout when I started. The only major difference in the characters seen on the other picture is that I had three star miners for the majority of the game, but nearing level 50 I was so close to failing that I switched them out for more damage and wound up selling them later. So I was all in on economy in the beginning and did fairly well thanks to it, but I feel like in the end it was just that all the stars aligned, ie. it was down to luck more so than any single thing being so broken that they hard carried me. Or that's what it felt like, I'm sure you can deduce more than I just based on these pics alone.
And as a final image, this is what the game looked like in the last wave. It was chaos, frames were down because everything shot like 20 projectiles at once.
I found 2 bugs.
1. The text in the hint box shakes.
2. The level up button does not change color when you can't afford to level up.

The newest update has a pretty game breaking glitch. My Hero just randomly takes damage in the set-up. So Sometimes he just dies before playing a round. Looks like the ghost units are counting as real units.

There's a bug. When you drag a gold miner (I don't know for other units) the whole game goes black and only cursor is seen) so I had to refresh browser.
Edit: it's not just a specific unit. I tried it on a Paladin same went black.

Any specific thing you did so I can reproduce it (I tried dragging those units and it was fine)...I'm using chrome browser.
I'm using brave browser. I don't think I've done anything specific. Just tried to drag a hero to place on the map.

I am becoming obsessed with this game. I lack the mental flexibility, skill tree smarts, and working memory to make a synergistic build out of RNG- provided components, but bygawd I am going to keep trying, apparently.

Couple questions
-when the king levels up, does he gain HP? Or is leveling meaningless once you've maxxed out all the skills?
-getting a perfect score on all the maps gets you 12/24 stars. How do you get the other twelve stars? Is there more content coming?
you can switch the orc boss to the slime boss, unlocks the other stars with new enemy waves and abilities.
- No the level up currently does not do anything, I might change that in the future but I have to think of a concept (if one exist) to make that work without making the entire game a grinding slog
- Bottom left in the level selection view lets you switch out the boss for new level variants and waves.

Very cool TD! Some sound effects are rather loud. Maybe they are stacking and therefore the volume is multiplied?
I like it that there are also skills/levelups to have some progress and continue playing :)

Very sleek tower game! It gets addictive very quickly! Your tooltip setup/system is rather helpful and rare to see. I'm eased into the gameplay so smoothly without the slowness of usual tutorials that take forever.
One feature I recommend is a Sudden Death / Critical Health bonus. When the King/Queen you protect is at 10% health or lower, your unit team size increases by one just for that round---only occurs once and also goes away when health recovers above 10%. Because you're very likely to lose at such low health, I think it'd give the player a motivational "Hail Mary" hopeful chance of making a way out of this unlikely situation.

Playing with the new endless mode is fun, I like the changes to flying. I think that so far for me, the biggest thing has been some of the clarity on what certain keywords mean. There is a perk for I believe it was "Invoke" or "Conjure" or something of the sort and I don't know what that applies to.
Maybe giving either a key to look at or a tooltip on hover for some of those keywords would help give some clarity to what they apply to. I also will parrot some of the other commenters on here that mention its hard to get an interesting run outside of endless mode. I find myself getting to 50-60 before my run actually ends. Maybe some more waves would allow some interesting builds to be created before hopping into endless.
Regarding the first point...I'm cooking something up that should help with that. And regarding the second, I'll just need some more time to come up with new enemy types and stuff. But yeah that will all get added!
In the meantime, I suggest joining the discord. There are quite a few discussions about balancing and improvements to UI, bugs etc. on a regular basis. Much easier to discuss there than here :) Thanks for playing and your feedback!
New update includes item "recommendations", which should make it clear what items benefit which specific units.

Endless mode got added today! It's the same wave over and over for now. Let me know what you guys think.
I think the endless mode is great, however I was able to get a game to actually go endless despite the increasing hp (got to wave 110 without mobs leaving the spawning area). Beasts with the instakill augment gave me basically stunlockable mobs that die eventually no matter what. I might add in a boss wave every 10 waves that also has increasing hp. This would be a good way to actually test the build you have. Potentially give some enemies modifiers too that could ignore fear/stun so that you have to have a somewhat diverse board to clear these.
This might sound weird but I'm actually shocked that people played to level 110 :D That's awesome, thanks for playing!
Okay, I finally got around to improving endless mode. I made the following changes:
- nerfing the execution item (I know that might not be popular but I think it means that only 1 strategy is viable for endless mode)
- in endless mode, enemies now gain new abilities during over time, so you have to adapt your strategy and unit composition
- implemented flying (for endless mode only at the moment)
This is actually really good, Sorry for the late response. I think in some cases, it is actually good to have a run be ended randomly in endless mode (Its part of seeing how good your run actually is vs just being able to kill random enemies easier). Im gonna play around with new endless and see if I can get anything crazy going again
I LOVE this Game. Cant wait for the Updates. New Maps or longer Levels would be nice. 21 Rounds are over very fast. You can get Max 1 Gold Unit. And the Mercenaries are to powerful. When u have 4 its Game Over. Even with lvl 1 Units. Sorry for my English. Im German.

Nur weil es mehr englische Leser gibt: I released a "nerf" patch for rogues that makes them harder to assemble and reduces the overall strength of crit synergy to make other strategies more viable - thanks for playing and your feedback, let me know if it is now better. FYI I might test a few bigger changes as well coming up, so join the discord if you want to give more feedback and weight in on new changes early.
